Imagine this, a 12 year old, wearing patterned red crop trousers, fake Doc Marten boots from Target (a size too big), neon bangles on one hand and a melee of other bracelets on the other hand, yellow arrow earrings and a bright yellow tie-dye t-shirt... and to top it off - geeky plastic red glasses. Listening to Rick Astley and Madonna. Cringe-worthy! But yes, those were the days when some of the items, I used to wear & listen to were de-rigueur - to me.
Looking out from the 18th floor of the Bryant Park Hotel during New York fashion week not so long ago, I cannot believe how I have arrived here – I feel I belong!!
Through my constant appetite for fashion and all things beautiful, I realise there is a fine line separating yummy and ugly. So... on this blog/personal journal, I will share with you what I think is yummy (to you maybe yucky) and hope to entertain you in the process.
