wintour goes to wsj
Mon dieu! Anna Wintour posed for Mario Testino...for Vogue? Mais non. For Deborah Needleman. (Or Rupert Murdoch?) Consider this WSJ.'s first "major get" cover subject. We sérieuesement must wait until le week-end to read "The Business of Being Anna" by Joshua Levine? The heavens may tremble!

finger armour
Jewellery designer Lynn Ban's line, which includes silver “finger armour” rings (above), twisted cuffs, and a bold, plated necklace inspired by the protective shield of “bulletproof vests,” made its official debut in Barneys stores last month. This collection which is totally sick is great for stacking and mixing up. This Singaporean native sure knows how to design sharp, sculptural pieces which are works of art on their own.
Luckily, you can’t ban a thing of beauty just because it looks dangerous.

i am beige
In beige. The lovely skin tones and soft colors of powder this spring have been refined in beige. A classic and adult(?)color. Beige is a beautiful color for the winter but is also perfect for the spring. I feel brave to try this colour out as I never tend to it. I think it works? Am slowly tending to it now.

petites prints
“Paule was always fascinated with flowers and birds; in fact, she would stop her car anywhere to watch and draw them,” explains Sebastien Storck, owner of Paule Marrot Editions, of this legendary doyenne of prints. Beloved by the likes of Jackie O and the crown prince of Greece, rumor has it that at sixteen, Marrot even painted Renoir’s garden (the Impressionist painter was a neighbor during Marrot’s childhood) and presented it to him proudly. Paule Marrot Editions has acquired all of her original woodblocks and drawings which, faithfully reproduced by Natural Curiosities, have made this “Petites” collection, out this month, possible. I love the color and spirit of these charming floral patterns, which are most striking when grouped en masse.

anatomy of change
The upcoming Fall/Winter Mugler collection, entitled "Anatomy of Change," is bound to be bold, to put it mildly. Now FAMB has a visual amuse bouche of the racy togs to debut on the runway. Lady Gaga's stylist, Nicola Formichetti, is creative director for the brand, and he's already put his reinvention wizardry to task by dropping the Thierry and going on a last-name basis. Fingers crossed that Gaga takes a surprise strut down the catwalk! (... god forbid not from a womb! Scary!)
